Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall propose a model structure containing the following components, at a minimum: a. Develop a peer-to-peer parent mentor support network. Development will include training experienced parents to become mentors to new parents and legal caregivers entering the child and family well-being system. b. Develop and maintain a robust website and social media presence as a source of information, resources, and support for families. c. Develop and distribute resource and education materials for parents/families and parent mentors to support work towards successful reintegration of children. This may include but is not limited to: materials to support orientation to the child in need of care process, materials targeted towards fathers and the value of their involvement, materials to support a better understanding of the differing types of placements a child may experience in foster care and how to engage with them, materials to support understanding of the role of a Child Welfare Case Management Provider in their ongoing case, and materials to support understanding of mental health and educational services. d. Develop and distribute resource and education materials for child and family well-being service providers statewide related to improving the practice of quality parent engagement. e. Provide statewide training and education opportunities in partnership with Children’s Alliance or other Kansas providers for parents and families.
