Contractor obligations: To supply the labor, materials, and equipment specified as necessary to provide forces capable of independently performing excavation, backfill, grading, remove and replace storm inlets, and removing and replacing storm drainpipes belonging to the City. The Contractor must understand the work is around active daily traffic and will require the contractor to properly all requested traffic control items for each project. All work is to be accomplished in accordance with the directions of the designated representative of the City. (See Scope of Services attachment). 1. Clearing of Soil/Concrete Waste: The contractor shall be financially and physically responsible for disposing of all products resulting from the grading and removal process. 2. Removing and Replacing Storm Inlets I Pipe: All inlets and HOPE pipes will be supplied by the City for specific areas. The contractor with be physically and financially responsible for supplying all other materials needed for proper fill, backfill, concrete placement, and inlet lids. 3. Removing and replacing valley Gutters: The contractor shall be financially and physically responsible for disposing of all products resulting from removing the existing concrete. The contractor shall be responsible for placing the correct flow line for all concrete work. 4. Traffic Control Items I Placement: The Contractor shall exhibit proper installation and placement of all requested traffic control items per project. Some areas will require more items than others, please review each project's traffic control layout. 5. 811 (One Call System): The contractor is responsible for contacting the Kansas one-call system (call 811) three business days prior to the start of construction to locate all utilities within the project area.
