Specifications include, but are not limited to: The agency’s current website is outdated and no longer meets the needs of the agency. Our primary goals are to strengthen our online presence, build awareness of programming and services, and maintain a well-organized web presence to provide credibility to our stakeholders. Additionally, we want our redesigned website to have a unified, consistent voice, look and feel. The site would also benefit from updated and better functionality and ease of use for staff as well as patrons. The back end needs to be user-friendly as the nature of the organization requires content to be created and edited in-house. Analytics need to be built into the new site for tracking, monitoring effectiveness and measuring objectives identified in budgetary and strategic planning efforts. As such, we are seeking to contract with a vendor to provide a website structure designed to support the specific needs of a library; design services, training, and technical support during migration from the current vendor; as well as regular maintenance and support post-launch. As SLK is a government agency, web accessibility standards must be met or exceeded.
