2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project is a new construction building on the University of Kentucky main campus. The building will contain teaching and research laboratories for the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment. The building will also have Offices, Conference Rooms, a Vivarium, an Auditorium, and Rooftop Greenhouses. The building will have a concrete structure from level 1 to level 3, with steel frame construction from level 3 up. This bid request is for Bid Package 06 Fitout (Group 1) and contains the following trade packages: TC-030 General Trades – This package includes, but not limited to General Requirements, division 5 metals, division 6 woods, division 7 thermal and moisture control, division 8 openings, division 10 specialties, division 11 equipment, division 12 furnishings, animal penning, monorail and hoist systems. TC-031 Fire Protection – This package includes, but not limited to Fire Protection systems for the building and greenhouses, fire pumps. TC-032 Plumbing – This package includes, but not limited to waste and vent piping, RO water, domestic water piping, plumbing equipment, fixtures, compressed air systems, vacuum system, and lab gas systems. TC-033 Mechanical – This package includes, but not limited to ductwork, mechanical piping, equipment, building automation controls, greenhouse controls (rough in). TC-034 Electrical – This package includes but not limited to panelboards and transformers, conduit and raceways, wire and terminations, lighting, lighting controls, grounding, TC-010 equipment install, fixtures and trim. TC-035 Technology – This package includes but not limited to raceways and boxes, cable trays, communications, audio/visual system, security/access control, voice/data equipment. TC-036 Drywall and Ceilings – This package includes but not limited to drywall partitions, drywall ceilings, ACT ceilings, metal panel ceilings, sound absorbing wall units, insect control treatments. TC-037 Doors and Hardware – This package includes but not limited to Furnishing doors, frames, hardware, electrified hardware, hardware consulting, cores/keying TC-038 Masonry – This package includes but not limited to CMU partitions, caulking, insect control treatments.
