• Painting – repainting the walls in select rooms and corridors to give them a fresh look. • Flooring – replacing old or damaged flooring with new materials. • Lighting – upgrading the lighting systems to improve visibility and energy efficiency. • Exterior Lighting – adding exterior lighting to improve safety and aesthetics. • Furniture Replacement – replacing old or damaged furniture with new, functional pieces. • Classroom Reconfiguration – reconfiguring current classrooms to better fit the class schedule needs, which includes the following: o Demolition of walls to redesign student-facing spaces. o Framing of new walls o Drywall o Soffits Addition – adding soffits to corridors for improved design and functionality o Restrooms - ensure accessibility and adequate fixture counts, and update finishes within the current layout where space limits. Provide alternate designs for gender neutral restroom after fixture counts are met. Ensure they meet current standards. • System Upgrades – upgrading essential building systems to include the following: o HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning): Replacement or refurbishment of all air systems and building hydronic system which is fed by the central steam and chilled water plant; design to include heat recovery chiller for energy efficiency and thermal comfort improvements o Electrical systems: Primary switchgear and distribution o Sprinkler systems o Audio Visual Installation: Installing new and integrating current audio-visual equipment to enhance the learning experience • Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) – Pre-Ordered Equipment The awarded DBC will be responsible for receiving, storing, inventorying, transporting, protecting, and installing the following OFCI equipment/furnishings: o One (1) Electrical Switchgear • Owner Furnished Owner Installed (OFOI) o Selected toilet accessories o Furniture o Audio/Video Equipment
