Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Office of Special Education and Early Learning (OSEEL) primary translation and interpretation need is currently Spanish, but other languages (Arabic, Somali, Swahili, French, Hindi and others) may be required on occasion. Interpretation: The OSEEL currently supports students, families, and school districts throughout the state of Kentucky. Kentucky’s students and their families currently speak over 40+ languages and need equitable access to the technical assistance provided by OSEEL consultants. The OSEEL would require that the Vendor provide over-the-phone or virtual interpretation services within twenty-four (24) hours of contact. The OSEEL may also require the services of interpreters during conferences (virtual and in-person) in the future for our top 1-2 languages.
