Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Removal of snow from parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and entrances to Metro owned properties • Contractor will monitor conditions and mobilize whenever snow reaches the depth of two (2) inches as measured on the Metro premises or when drifting occurs. • Facilities Management will monitor weather conditions and coordinate with the contractor to determine when there is a need to mobilize prior to reaching the two (2) inch trigger. • Unless otherwise arranged, the Contractor will remove snow on building approaches and sidewalks. This includes removing snow on sidewalks and salting. Contractors should generally clear the building approaches up to the building entrance doors. • Salting shall be completed on parking lots, building approaches and sidewalks. • Snow removal and de-icing for daytime, evening, and weekend activities will be in coordination with the Facilities Management Snow Team. Most Metro Facilities have activity seven days per week. • Bid price shall be for the 2022-2023 seasons. Metro reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time due to the contractor’s failure to comply with the terms of the contract. Metro will notify the contractor of termination ten (10) days prior to any action being instituted. The contractor will be permitted a rebuttal during this period.
