Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. All buses must have a minimum of fifty-two (52) seats. 2. All buses must not be older than five (5) years. 3. All buses must include the following equipment in good to excellent operating condition. a. All mechanical equipment must be maintained at or above industry standards. b. Tires must be in excellent condition c. TV’s and DVD players must be of high quality and able to be viewed from any and all seats. d. Bathrooms and Seating areas must be in excellent sanitary and operating conditions. e. All buses must include either state of the art radio communications and/or cellular telephones for use in emergency situations. f. Air conditioning and heating must be in excellent operating conditions. g. Wireless broadband internet (not a cellular service) able to handle full capacity of bus. 4. A single bus will be used for all trips for each sport/departmental travel, except football and band. Football will use 3 buses for each trip. Band will use multiple buses, not to exceed 6 buses at a time. 5. Sports covered: Baseball, M & W Basketball, M & W Cross Country, Football, Golf, Soccer, Softball, M & W Tennis, M & W Track, Volleyball, Spirit Groups, and the Band. This also includes Post Season and Departmental travel where applicable. 6. Meals for the bus driver are the responsibility of the successful bidder. 7. UL Lafayette will be responsible for booking and paying for the driver’s hotel room. 8. Driver must be dressed appropriately and present himself/herself in a professional manner at all times. 9. Bus company must be able to provide a 24 hour contact name and telephone number for emergencies. 10. Successful bidder may be required to submit a list of equipment meeting specifications prior to awarding of bid. 11. All bidders are required to complete a detailed cost calculation sheet for consideration. 12. The successful bidder must wrap at least four (4) buses with a design approved by the Athletic Department. This cost will be absorbed by the bidder, not counted against the corporate partnership. Year 1 revenue is reflective of this. 13. The successful bidder will secure a corporate sponsorship, made payable to Ragin’ Cajuns Sports Properties, in sponsorship assets such as advertising signage and digital activation at Athletic Department facilities: Yr1: $12,000, Yr2: $16,000, Yr3: $17,000, Renewal Yr1: $18,000, Renewal Yr2: $18,000. 14. ALL CONTRACTORS MUST: a. Have a satisfactory DOT Rating. b. Have random drug and alcohol testing. c. Adhere to Federal Motor Coach Carrier Safety Regulations.
