The City of New Orleans (“City”) solicits bids to obtain a quote for the maintenance of the city owned trees within Burke Playground (2524 Annunciation New Orleans, LA 70130). All work shall be completed in accordance with the arboricultural practices as per “Safety Requirements for Tree Pruning, Trimming, Repairing or Removal” (ANSI-Z133, 1-1979) published by American National Standards Institute, Incorporated, 1430 Broadway, New York, New York 10018. Qualified bidders should possess a current Arborist License issued by the State of Louisiana Horticulture Commission. Scope of work: Trim only live oaks within park to lift canopy over interior and exterior sidewalks and to provide adequate clearance over all parking lanes, streets, and playground structures. Remove all deadwood, vines, and sucker growth as necessary. Trim all park crape myrtles to clear sucker growth and lift canopy to 8 feet. Annunciation Street side: trim 6 live oaks; Second Street side: trim 7 live oaks; remove one small volunteer oak at ground level; remove volunteer tallow growing from crotch of live oak closest to 711; heavily reduce co dominant limb in live oak closest to 729; Chippewa Street side: trim 6 live oaks; cut vine at live oak closest to 2526; Third Street side: trim 11 live oaks; remove ground level volunteer/sprout closest to 722; Park interior: trim 8 crape myrtles; trim 1 live oak; Total: trim 30 live oaks; 8 crape myrtles; remove two ground level volunteers
