Specifications include, but are not limited to: MaineDOT is interested in upgrading 9 AWOS systems that have reached the useful end of life. Our plan is to replace these systems with AWOS-III equipment utilizing Airport Improvement Program (AIP) funds. This project is being done to provide the best possible location for siting the AWOS equipment at each airport. The goal is to site as many of these as possible in a location that meets the Non-FAA AWOS siting criteria such that they can be accepted into the Non-FAA AWOS Program. The airports we will be working with are: Belfast Municipal Airport (BST), Bethel Regional Airport (0B1), Sugarloaf Regional Airport (B21), Central Maine Regional Airport of Norridgewock (OWK), Eastport Municipal Airport (EPM), Greenville Municipal Airport (3B1), Machias Valley Municipal Airport (MVM), Newton Field (59B) and Princeton Municipal Airport (PNN). ; Tasks included in this Scope of Work shall include the following virtual meetings (Zoom or Microsoft Teams) with state and federal entities mentioned above: • Project Kickoff, • Individual airport data collection / discussion (3 meetings), • Monthly progress (with MaineDOT) (8 meetings), • Draft location review (9 meetings), • Location acceptance / denial (3 meetings - 3 airports per meeting), • RFI based meetings (up to 6 meetings). Meetings are expected to be approximately 1 hour per meeting unless otherwise noted within the proposal. Deliverables shall include: • Electronic drawing files (KML, PDF, CADD) showing: o AWOS Site Location with Latitude / Longitude Coordinates o Clearing surfaces as defined by above noted criteria o Obstruction removal needs (acreage) o Property ownership o Wind Data to justify obstruction removal or non-removal • Affected Property ownership list for each airport (based on recent Tax map data) • Potential acceptance / Denia
