The primary purpose of the graphic design freelancer is to serve as a design service for the University of Maine and its regional campus, the University of Maine at Machias, under the direction and management of the Associate Creative Director within the Division of Marketing and Communications. At UMaine, the Marketing and Communications Division provides the official graphic design and branding expertise and authority to the University of Maine. The freelancer position creates graphic communication and marketing materials reflecting UMaine’s brand standards within the administration’s strategic messaging. Qualified vendors have the following skills and experience: • Education associated with a bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of academic and directly related professional work experience • Extensive and demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Cloud • Ability to develop a design from concept to implementation
