Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Auburn would like to hire a competent contractor to supply the city with 7,000 CY of Screened Winter Sand at its storage facility on Gracelawn Road. The contractor shall provide all labor and equipment necessary for the excavation, loading, grinding/screening, trucking, and stockpiling of the sand. The sand must conform to the following specifications as closely as possible. The contractor must list any variances in the specification that is prevalent. As an option, the contractor may provide a stockpile area in their pit with a southern exposure, which the city will have 24-hour access to, as well, the pile shall remain in place until the City depletes it. This area must be in reasonable proximity to the Highway garage due to the need of immediate access in cases of emergency conditions. Distance from the vendors stockpile to the Auburn Public Works Garage will be a determining factor in the award of the bid, if Auburn Public Works hauls the material themselves
