1112197 - Recovery Support Services

Montgomery County, Maryland through its Department of Health and Human Services has received a grant from the Maryland Department of Health, Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) to support the development and maintenance of Recovery Support Services (RSS) in the community. RSS promotes recovery among adults with substance abuse, mental health, and/or co-occurring disorders by offering resources, information, advocacy, and support to individuals, their families, and the wider community that is Montgomery County. Furthermore, the BHA envisions that the County will provide a "Recovery Community Center (RCC)," a physical location where RSS originate and are organized. The RCC will serve as a recovery-oriented sanctuary, providing ongoing services and support to County residents in recovery.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified and experienced entities to provide RSS to County residents in recovery; to develop, maintain, and mobilize the network of formal and informal services to sustain long-term recovery support for individuals and families impacted by substance-related disorders and/or co-occurring disorders in Montgomery County; and to provide ongoing training for Peer Recovery Specialists.
