The Contractor must clean all street and parking facility surfaces, curbs, gutters, service drives and curb parking lanes, median curbs, road shoulders, gore points, turn lanes, and underpasses. The cleaning operation must include all sweeping, flushing, dumping, and trash pick-up operations. Corners which have a radius too sharp for mechanical sweeping are to be cleaned by flushing or by hand sweeping. The cleaning operation does not include removal of waste materials in catch basins or storm drains.
The paved horizontal surfaces of all raised median tops are to be cleaned one time per year during the months of April, May or June.
Each time a street or parking facility is swept/cleaned, the Contractor will record the location and the work limits of the street and or parking facility swept/cleaned and record the visual estimate of the volume of material collected. This information will be documented and recorded electronically using an Excel spreadsheet. The Contractor shall use a Sweeper Truck Work Sheet to provide a structured method for recording the required information in the field. The Sweeper Truck Work Sheet will be provided to the Contractor in e-mail form prior the work commencing.
A complete list of Designated Street Sections, identifying the specific locations of the roadways, streets, and parking facilities to be swept/cleaned will be provided electronically to the apparent low Bidder on the date of the County's written notification of Intent to Award a Contract. The list of Designated Street Sections will be updated periodically.
