Specifications include, but are not limited to: Judicial College hosts an annual, retreat style training for new trial judges in the State of Maryland. This year’s retreat will take place Sunday, June 8, 2025, through Friday, June 13, 2025. This retreat will host approximately sixty (60) attendees, including forty-five (45) judicial appointees, six (6) staff, two (2) program coordinators, and seven (7) faculty. Additional attendees may be added until two (2) weeks prior to the start of the program, as the Governor makes judicial appointments at his discretion. Offeror must allow final rooming list and head count to be submitted no more than ten (10) days before event date. The Judicial College prefers a secure, ADA compliant, facility offering a complete meeting package including: a. Rooms (1) Single occupancy overnight accommodations for event attendees with the following amenities: i Secure wireless high-speed internet; ii In-room desk/workspace; iii Mini refrigerator; iv Iron and ironing board; v Microwave access; vi Privately controlled heat and air conditioning; vii Hair dryer; and, viii Coffee machine. (2) One (1) room to be used as a casual gathering location for event attendees (3) One (1) large private meeting/event space with the following: i Availability on the evening prior to event for event set-up. ii Seating to accommodate all attendees in both a full group configuration and small groups configuration (e.g., u-shaped and round table) with an additional long row of tables with chairs for staff, presenters, etc. iii Audiovisual equipment including, at minimum: 1. Two (2) projector screens or TVs large enough to ensure all attendees can read presentation content; 2. One (1) projector with the ability to play embedded web videos clearly; 3. Two (2) wireless lavalier microphones; 4. Four (4) wireless handheld microphones; 5. Podium; and, 6. Speakers throughout the room to amplify microphones and projector to ensure all attendees can hear content. iv Secure wireless high-speed internet. v Windows. vi Wall clock easily visible throughout room.
