THIS IS A SOLICITATION. The Army has a requirement for ballistic and non-ballistic testing of personal protective equipment that provides protection against a broad range of ballistic threats. Ballistic threats include handgun and rifle ammunition, right circular cylinders, and fragment simulating projectiles; testing is conducted over a range of environmental conditions. Testing to be performed is part of the ongoing personal protective equipment program, which includes various configurations of test items.
This is a non-personal services contract to perform personal protective equipment ballistic and non-ballistic testing that protects the Soldier against a variety of threats. Ballistic and non-ballistic testing shall be performed in accordance with U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs) for the following commodity categories: 1) head protection, 2) soft armor, 3) hard armor, 4) non-ballistic, 5) environmental, and 6) mechanical.
