Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.3.1 VINYL GRAPHIC PRINTS: A. Prints of Bus vinyl shall meet the following (current) material: Partial BusGraphic: Vinyl: 3M IJ680CR Laminate: 3M 8518 gloss Full Bus Graphic: Vinyl 3M 180C Laminate: 3M 8519Luster B. Actual prints of other fleet vehicles (ex. Special event) vinyl shall be reviewed and approved by a designated MTA personnel before printing. 2.3.2 VINYL GRAPHIC DESIGN: A. Design of the vehicle graphic shall be done on specific model of the fleet. B. Design of the vehicle graphic (ex. Special event) shall be approved by the administration's designee prior to continuation. C. Existing vehicle graphic can be retrieved upon contract award. Please contact the resident engineer for more details on how to retrieve specific files. 2.3.3 VINYL GRAPHICS REMOVAL: A. Removal of existing vehicle vinyl shall be done professionally without any paint or panel damage and residue of adhesive should all be removed. B. Upon removal of existing vehicle vinyl; if any damage is found, it shall be noted and brought to the Administration’s attention. C. Removal of old vinyl graphic will be paid for at the contract unit price bid per each removal. 2.3.4 VINYL GRAPHICS APPLICATION: A. Prior to application of the new vehicle vinyl, the vehicle shall be cleaned & prepped. (Washing the vehicle can be done by MDOT MTA Bus Maintenance if needed) B. Upon removal of existing vehicle vinyl; if any damage is found, it shall be noted and brought to the Administration’s attention. C. Application of new vinyl graphic prints will be paid for at the contract unit price bid per each application.
