The work shall include the following: 1. The product furnished shall be chemically pure anhydrous, 99.98% pure chlorine, free from adulterants or impurities that might cause hazards or stoppage in the operation of standard chlorinating equipment. 2. Containers must conform to current Interstate Commerce Commission Specifications. Containers are to be inspected and shall be clean and dry before filling. The 150-pound cylinders shall meet all applicable safety and testing procedures. The cylinders shall be so marked including the date of last testing. In addition, cylinders shall not have any visual delamination of the steel layers, rust-through of a steel layer, or leakage of any kind. Failure of any of these conditions shall result in automatic rejection of the cylinders. 3. Each cylinder delivered shall have a new lead washer, which shall be included in the unit price. 4. The award will be made only to a valid, reputable distributor or manufacturer of chlorine. 5. It is expected that approximately eight (8) cylinders will be delivered every four (4) weeks.
