1.1 It is the intention of these specifications that the vendor hereunder shall furnish and Baltimore County shall purchase services to maintain derelict buildings and vacant lot clean-up, covered by this agreement which may be required during the period of time specified. The quantities shown are approximate and are for the purpose of bid evaluation. The County reserves the right to order such services as may be required during the said period, and it also reserves the right not to order services bid upon by the vendor if it is found that such services are not required by the County during the period covered by this agreement. 1.2 Clean-up of derelict buildings and vacant lots services is identified as the removal of junk, trash and/or other debris on a specified property; mowing grass; trimming along buildings and/or sidewalks; bush hogging brush, vines, and saplings up to 1” thick; raking and removing all cutting/mowing debris; removal and disposal of scrap/discarded tires in accordance with all local, state and/or federal regulations; retrieval and salvage of any recyclables; removal and disposal of vehicles as defined in the measure and payment section of these specifications; tarping of roofs, boarding up of windows and doors, draining pool water; trimming bushes; removal and disposal of any other yard waste, bulk trash, and/or litter; and shoveling of snow from residential sidewalks, as directed by the Director, Permits, Approvals and Inspections (DPAI), or his authorized representative, 410-887-3353, and in compliance with these specifications. 1.3 The work to be done under this contract includes, but is not limited to the providing of all necessary labor, tools, equipment, vehicles, fuel, supervision, transportation costs, tipping fees, contractor-provided portable power source, and all other incidentals needed to complete the work in accordance with this specification, and any local, state, and/or federal requirements, including any required special permits. 1.4 While the majority of services performed under this contract will occur during the spring and summer months, the Contractor (s) shall be available to perform the scope of this solicitation twelve (12) months per year.
