Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum (JPPM) is a 560-acre state park and museum located along the Patuxent River in St. Leonard, Calvert County, Maryland. The park has some identified archaeological sites, hiking and biking trails, a canoe and kayak launch, a visitor's center with exhibits and a gift shop, an exhibit barn, a pavilion for event rental, a recreated Woodland Indian village, and a historic house. JPPM is also the home of the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory (MAC Lab), which houses almost 10 million artifacts. The MAC Lab serves as a clearinghouse for archaeological collections recovered from land-based and underwater projects conducted by State and Federal agencies throughout Maryland. 2. The project includes an approximately 4,985 square foot addition to the Curation Storage and a 536 square foot Isolation Room addition of the Maryland Archeological Conservation Laboratory. The remainder of the 39,517 square feet within the area of work will encompass modifying the amount of compactible shelving, address repairs to the HVAC system and other building systems, and removing applicable underground storage tanks.
