This project will be in two (2) parts and located in the Calvert Hills community in Prince George’s County. Part C of the project covers construction of two underground vaults with a total capacity of 212,000 Cubic Feet, on Calvert Park owned by MNCPPC, to attenuate peak flows and disconnect low lying existing storm drain systems in between Harvard and Calvert Roads and divert to the underground storage vault. The construction area covers Dartmouth Ave, the Alley between Harvard and Calvert Roads, Harvard Road, Bowdoin Ave, and Calvert Park with a total disturbed area of 2.5 acres. As a result of these drainage system improvements, full width asphalt mill and paving, gas pipe relocation, water line relocations and electric light poles relocations will be included in the project. Part D of the project covers construction of storm drain improvements on Rhode Island Avenue, Fordham Rd, Dartmouth Avenue and Drexel Road with a total disturbed area of 0.5 acres. As a result of these drainage system improvements, full width asphalt mill and paving, gas pipe relocation and water line relocations will be included in the project.
