Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intent of WSSC Water to obtain a Contractor who shall provide Occupational Health Services to support mandatory health and safety requirements relating to employment. Occupational Health Services are intended only to determine and correlate an individual's state of health with employment requirements and are not intended to replace regular medical examination or treatment by personal physicians. The Contractor shall be responsible for the following occupational health services in accordance with the scope of work: A. Pre-employment drug testing of WSSC Water applicants in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Highway Administration (FHA), and WSSC Water regulations. B. Pre-employment physicals in accordance with DOT, FHA and WSSC Water regulations. C. Pre-employment drug testing, physical and psychological fitness examinations for certification of applicants as Police Officers as mandated by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission (MPCTC). D. Medical Director /Independent Medical Examiner (IME) Services E. Post Exposure Medical Evaluations in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and WSSC Water Policies and Procedures for the following: • Asbestos in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1001. • Lead in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1025. • Bloodborne Pathogens in accordance with 29 CFR 110.1030. • Wastewater Pathogens in accordance with WSSC Policy Chapter 15.125 Wastewater Pathogen Training and Immunization Program for Wastewater Workers
