As stated in Section 2.2.1.2, about 70% of Client transports will be to and from providers of non-emergency medical care or other type of service within Washington County, Maryland, usually within Hagerstown itself. When appropriate Client medical care or other type of service is not available in Washington County, Maryland, Contractors must transport Clients to and from a medical provider or other type of service outside the County, to include Baltimore and the Washington D.C. area. 2.3.7.2 Scheduling of Trips and Timeliness 2.3.7.2.1 The vast majority of transports will be Scheduled. (See Appendix 1 definition.) However, there may be circumstances when Unscheduled (see Appendix 1 definition) transports may be required. Transportation Assignments, whether Scheduled or Unscheduled, will be made as described in Section 4.9 and are subject to the timeframe requirements of Section 2.3.9. 2.3.7.2.2 The Contractor shall arrive On-Time (see Appendix 1 definition) for Scheduled transport service (scheduled at least 6 hours in advance) and for Unscheduled transports as described in Section 4.9.6. In the event the Contractor is Untimely (is late or misses a transport), the provisions of Section 2.3.9 will apply. 2.3.7.3 Days and Hours of Required Transportation (Required Constant Transportation Access) The vast majority of transports, both Scheduled and Unscheduled, will occur between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm on Business Days. Nevertheless, there may be occasions when transportation service will be needed on non-Business Days or between 6 pm and 7 am.
