Specifications include, but are not limited to: The MHCC’s Center for Analysis and Information Systems (CAIS) staff develops, builds, and displays various web-based products, such as websites and data dashboards, to help Maryland residents make informed healthcare choices. Project goals for the Center throughout the Contract term shall include but not be limited to the following: 2.2.1.1 Resource development, enhancement, and ongoing improvement of a public-facing web portal that will house CAIS products such as the public web materials detailed below under subsections 2.2.1.2, 2.2.1.3, 2.2.1.4, and 2.2.1.5. 2.2.1.2 Continually enhance, update, and improve MHCC’s Wear the Cost website, a consumercentric website designed and built by CAIS staff and its contractors to provide consumers with valuable health care cost and quality information to help them make informed health care choices. Specifically, “Wear the Cost” displays cost and quality information on select episodes of care, derived from MCDB data. 2.2.1.3 Adapt and improve other existing public reporting websites (Geographic Variation; Cost and Utilization; and Provider Payments), and a new web-based prescription drug initiative, to a more user-friendly format for use by other State agencies, consumers, and industry stakeholders. 2.2.1.4 Continue with project management support for the design, development, and operation of a project focused on low value and wasteful services that will engage consumers and providers in reducing the use of these services. 2.2.1.5 Maintain the management of ongoing communications strategies to promote MHCC web materials to the public continually. 2.2.1.6 Continually enhance the MCDB by improving pricing transparency capabilities, and expanding and streamlining the collection, processing, and reporting of MCDB data.
