The Department of Housing and Community Development DHCD or the "Department") is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) in order to secure the services of a real estate company to provide real estate services for properties in the REO Portfolio. In its role as a housing finance agency, the Department of Housing and Community Development (“Department”), through its Division of Credit Assurance (“DCA”) takes possession of certain properties whose owners can no longer fulfill the obligation of their mortgage held by the agency. These foreclosed REO properties are located throughout the State (collectively, the “REO Portfolio”). As directed by the Department, the Contractor will verify property security, recommend rehabilitation/repair, market, sell or recommend auction of the REO properties, and will be responsible for overseeing maintenance of REO properties and such other provisions as described in this RFP.
