Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Flooring contractor to: a. use a planetary diamond floor grinder complete with manufacture diamond tooling and self-contained dust collection system. b. start the grinding phase using a 40-grit metal bond diamond tooling to open the floor in preparation to receive the higher grit diamond tool. c. continue the grinding phase using an 80-grit metal bond diamond tool. d. complete the grinding phase using a 150-grit metal bond diamond tool in preparation for the honing phase. e. install a penetrating lithium silicate densifier onto the prepared substrate. f. start the honing phase using a 100-grit resin bond diamond tool in preparation to receive the higher grit diamond tooling. g. continue the honing phase using a 200-grit resin bond diamond tool. h. continue the honing phase using a 400-grit resin bond diamond tool. i. complete the polishing phase using an 800-grit resin bond diamond tool. j. install a penetrating guard product onto the prepared substrate. k. finish the process with a propane powered, high speed floor burnisher using a diamond grit burnish pad. l. clean up work area flooring subcontractor to remove all containers, unused materials, and tools from the work area. 2. Wicomico County to designate an appropriate place for the transfer of onsite debris. 3. Finish & Gloss Level: Class 2 salt & pepper / Level 2 800 finish 4. Site Specifications and Details for the Normandy Arena and Ramping Areas: a. Retro Plate with Full Polish - approximately 28,780 Sq Ft, Arena open space b. Joint Fillers Arena Floor to be saw cut and replaced – approximately 3,557 LF c. Joint Fillers at Trench Areas to be saw cut and replaced- approximately 335 LF d. Ramp around electrical boxes, 24 total- See attached photo for details e. Ramp at doors South East Corner, Repair at North East Corner, and repair at North West Corner, Ramp and repair concrete- estimated 100 LF f. Upgrade Sealer and apply two (2) coats of penetrating sealer g. Successful Vendor shall: i. communicate equipment electrical hook up needs, for Grinding & Dust Collection Equipment, to our on-staff electricians, at the pre-construction meeting. ii. supply breakers (2) 230 Volt 60 Amp service to the Arena’s electrician
