To work with the Special Education Transportation Task Force and provide a leadership role in promoting costs effective, efficient and appropriate ways of providing transportation services to students served in public day and residential program; Contractor shall provide the following services under this contract to support the state’s on-going efforts to create efficiencies in the area of Special Education Transportation and in coordination with the goals and objectives of the Special Education Transportation Task Force (Task Force). Coordinate the work of the Task Force to establish the basic requirements for the engagement, which shall include, but not be limited to: Planning meeting agendas and maintaining meeting minutes; and Furthering the goals of the Task Force by providing leadership on special education transportation issues. Provide a resource for districts and educational collaboratives that are trying to reduce special education transportation expenses, by: Promoting collaboration in providing transportation services. Maintaining the website Spedtranssavings.org. Posting October 1 data on the www.Spedtranssavings.org website. Maintaining a data base of transportation vendors on the www.Spedtranssavings.org website. Answering district inquiries; and Providing other services to further the goals of this engagement and the Task Force.
