Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Lawrence receives payments from various sources, both in the traditional form of checks or cash, as well as electronic payments via credit card or ACH transfer, as the payor may elect. Electronic payments include, without limitation, payments for various types of tax bills, utility bills, dog licenses, fishing licenses, athletic field permits as well as payments by private contractors for police details, activity fees, school athletic fees, parking meter charges, and library fines. The City wishes to expand its ability to accept electronic payments for all remittances. Such expansion would allow customers to initiate their payments to the City via the City website from any web connection whether at their home or office, or at City locations such as City Hall service windows. The City currently has 75,000+ residents and processes a large amount of financial transactions. Our goal is to, if possible, is to provide a cashless option for all city & school financial transactions.
