Specifications include, but are not limited to: Boston Public Schools seeks qualified Contractors for garden services and educational support (“garden-based education”) necessary for the twenty (20) school garden programs listed below. Contractors must choose the schools for which they would like to provide the garden services. The Contractor will supply all materials and labor needed to start, grow, and operate the school gardens and educational programs, including but not limited to tools, tool storage, including cold frames; teaching materials, soil, organic fertilizers, compost, seeds, and seedlings. The contractor will monitor and service the existing irrigation system to maintain operational order. This includes the end of growing season winterizing; spring startup routine, and any necessary repairs during the growing season. The Contractor will provide garden-related education/curriculum that is aligned with BPS teaching and learning standards.
