The Commonwealth of Massachusetts through the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Aeronautics Division (herein Aeronautics Division) is soliciting Bidders for the acquisition of consultant services to develop and update Yearly Operational Plans (YOPs) and provide Engineering/Consultant services for airports within the Commonwealth in association with the Statewide Airport Vegetative Management Program. Interested firms are invited to submit Proposals highlighting their specific interest and recent experience (over the past 5 years) pertaining to VMP and YOP studies. Interested firms are encouraged to team with individuals/sub-consultants with the following areas of expertise: • Environmental Planning/Permitting (Conservation Commissions, Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Food and Agriculture) • Vegetation Management/Forestry/Herbicide Application/Rights-of-Way Management • Aviation Planning/Engineering The consulting firm will be selected through a comparative analysis of firm qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of service in an open and free competition. The resulting Contract will be available for use by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) – Aeronautics Division only.
