Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Clear snow from all paved surfaces at the MBTA Maintenance facility at 45 Kings Highway, West Wareham, MA 2.1.1 Plow snow from access driveway as well as the parking lot - approximately 73,000 SF 2.1.1.1 Plowing will occur anytime there is 2 inches or more of snow fall. 2.1.1.2 No more than 6 inches of snow should be allowed to accumulate before plowing commences or re-plowing begins for longer duration or higher accumulation storms 2.1.1.3 Facility manager can request plowing service if deemed necessary 2.1.1.4 For late day and overnight storms, the lot should be plowed prior to 6:00AM 2.1.2 Clean-up - vendors may need to come back and move snow to the designated storage areas as well as move any remnants of snow that remain on the paved surfaces. 2.1.3 Apply de-icing materials after each plowing on all paved surfaces 2.1.4 For times when there is lower snow accumulation or slippery/icy conditions exist, facility manager can request de-icing materials to be applied. Said request should be applies as soon as possible, but at a minimum services should be completed within 2 hours of request. 2.1.5 The MBTA requires that any vendor that wishes to bid must visit facility and walk the grounds with a designated MBTA representative.
