Specifications include, but are not limited to: Specialized health care and safety expert consulting; Project coordination; Activities/projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of health care operations; Provision of training and education services as a component to enhance a specific project; Quality improvement activities; Assist in the building of linkages and collaborations with a range of community partners and providers; Investigation and evaluation of current medical/public health practice and health related topics; Delivery of presentations on medical/scientific/public health topics; Services may be performed in DPH disciplines that include: Immunization, infectious disease control and response (e.g. HIV, STIs, or tuberculosis), communicable disease control (e.g. tuberculosis), and sexually transmitted disease control; family health and nutrition for pregnant women, newborns, and young children; refugee and immigrant health; behavioral health; children with special health care needs and their families; the childhood lead poisoning prevention program; heart disease and stroke prevention; emergency preparedness; and many others.
