1. Health and Safety Plan (HASP) to be provided to the City prior to initiating work. 2. Daily progress reports to the City. Progress reports shall include an estimate of the water chestnut harvested that day, a summary of any problems encountered and proposed solutions, and any updates to the project schedule or staffing plan. 3. Final management report for review and comment by the City once the harvesting program has been completed. The successful bidder shall subsequently issue a revised report, reflecting the City’s comments and edits, if any. The report shall include the following, at a minimum: a. Description of the methodologies used to complete the work. b. Identification of the management program duration. c. Maps showing the areas harvested by method (mechanical vs. hand). d. Tally of the daily and total wet volumes of water chestnut removed, in cubic yards. e. Photographs of the management process and results. These should include representative images of the harvesting methods and documentation of pre- and post-harvesting conditions in the reservoir and at the access ramp. f. Description of any challenges encountered and lessons learned. g. Copies of daily management logs and/or progress reports. h. The use of a hydro-rake to remove water chestnut in shallow areas is acceptable. i. The Water Department will provide loader support and dewaters the water chestnut biomass onsite before transferring to a final compost area.
