22-0018 - Sewer Cleaning and Video Inspection

The Town of West Springfield, Massachusetts, acting by and through its Department of Public
Works, invites sealed bids for “Sewer Cleaning and Video Inspection Services”. Sealed
bids will be received by the Director of Public Works, 26 Central Street, Suite 17, West
Springfield, MA 01089 until 10:00AM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at which time all bids will be
opened and publicly read aloud.
All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter
30B as amended.
Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a licensed surety company, or a Certified
check, or a Treasurer’s or Cashier’s check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base bid
payable to the Town of West Springfield.
Performance and Labor & Materials Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the
Contract Price, will be required of the Successful Bidder. The successful bidder will also be
required to furnish workmen’s compensation insurance and public liability insurance.
Attention is called to the minimum wage rates to be paid on the work as determined by the
Commissioner of Labor and Industries under the provisions of General Laws, Chapter 149,
Sections 26 to 27D, inclusive.
The Town of West Springfield reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all
bids or to accept any bid which in their opinion, is in the public interest to do so.
