Antrim County is requesting Requests for Proposals (RFP) for architecture and engineering (A/E) services for the construction of a Public Safety Center (the Center). The project will be funded in part through a construction bond proposal that is on the November 5, 2024 ballot. The project in its entirety will include architectural design, engineering, construction, construction management, and equipment. The site selected by the Board of Commissioners for the Center is directly adjacent to downtown Bellaire. The majority of the Center will be constructed on land that is currently owned by Antrim County. The formal process to vacate a portion of right-of-way for the remainder of the property is underway. Based on multiple needs assessments, the County anticipates a 32,000 square foot facility that includes: a) 56 inmate beds b) Sheriff’s road patrol, detectives, and administration c) Evidence room
