The intent is to establish a specification for protective body armor that meets the requirements of NIJ-Standard 0101.06 Level II, for City of Detroit Animal Care and Control personnel. • The purchase will be for units in various sizes that will be periodically purchased throughout the life of the contract as required, in accordance with the attached specifications. • The vendor is expected to provide service in accordance with the terms of the executed contract and under the rules, regulations, and supervision of the City. • The vendor must have a continuous business relationship with the manufacturer of said armor for a period of not less than ten (10) years. Proof of such a relationship shall be included in the bidder's proposal.
