1. Furnish and install new first-run Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) from the same dye (color Pearl White 51803) lot in 8 locations as described herein in Bridgman Public Schools. VCT shall be 12 inches by 12 inches by 1/8 inch thick as per FS SS-T312B Type IV, Composition 1 and ASTM F1066, Composition 1 (non-asbestos formulated) Class 2 – through the pattern. Acceptable manufacturers are: • Armstrong: “Standard Excelon” (color Pearl White 51803) • Rubber base shall comply with FS SS-W-40, Type 1 minimum 1/8 inch thick, 4 inches by 48 inches, cove (color Brown) with top-set toe and pre-molded exterior corners. • Rubber transition strips 2. Contractor shall be responsible for removing all floor covering (contractor shall be responsible for a skim coat if applicable), preparing the surface and installing VCT and base according to the manufacturer’s specifications. Edge reducers beveled one inch to 1 ½ inch by 1/8 inch thick of rubber from the same manufacturer as the tile shall be used in colors selected by the owner, where different floors or colors meet. 3. The owner shall move furniture. 4. The contractor shall be responsible for removing all glue and preparing the floor for the owner to wax. The contractor shall leave 5% of each color of the VCT for the owner's stock.
