This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only pursuant to FAR Part 10, Market Research. This is NOT a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of commercially available products/services that may be of interest to the United States Coast Guard (USCG).
The USCG LOG-932 has a requirement for full food services to be done at USCG Sector Northern Great Lakes in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan starting 1 September 2024 for a base year with four one-year options. The purpose of this requirement is to obtain efficient and effective full food services at USCG Sector Northern Great Lakes. The Contractor shall provide all food, personnel, supervision, materials and other items or services necessary to perform full food service at USCG Sector Northern Great Lakes, in accordance with this Statement of Work (SOW), except as specified as Government Furnished Property. The Contractor shall perform the requirements of this SOW in a professional manner; Contractor tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prepare food.
- Serve and replenish food.
- Clean and maintain self-service areas, food service areas, and designated eating areas.
- Clean facilities, equipment, and utensils.
- Prepare salad and beverage bars.
- Provide clearing and janitorial services in Chief’s and Officer’s dining areas (Chief’s Mess and Wardroom).
- Perform cashier services.
- Maintain expendable supplies and equipment.
- Maintain quality control.
- Perform maintenance and minor repair of food service equipment.
- Provide contingency cooks/baker upon request and in the event of emergencies.
- Perform all required food service tasks to ensure continued service.
This notice is to assist the USCG in determining potential sources only. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information to this sources sought. All interested parties must respond to any subsequent solicitation notice published on the Federal Business Opportunities website, www.sam.gov. Competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research.
