The Contractor will serve as an advisor to MDHHS and provide medical consultation on specific cases, mental health policies and procedures and use of psychotropic medications. This includes drafting language for communication with stakeholders, policy updates, reporting on the Modified Implementation Sustainability and Exit Plan (MISEP), updates to the Annual Progress and Service Review (APSR) and Child and Family Services Plan (CFSP), and updates to the MDHHS Child Welfare Medical and Behavioral Health Resource page. The Contractor must develop and deliver training on health needs for children in foster care and psychotropic medication prescribing to a variety of audiences including but not limited to local and private agency foster care staff, community mental health service providers, hospitals, residential facilities, the foster care review board, and physician groups.
