The contractor shall be required to perform after each snow event within the time frame from 2:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. (traffic and parking normally precludes any other time frame). Contractor may be called upon to plow anytime during a major snow event. 8. A snow event shall be the accumulation of a sufficient quantity of snow as to hinder proper access to the parking lots and other locations. This will normally be one and one half (1 ½) or more inches. 9. Terms of the contract will include, but not be limited to, conditions of these specifications, penalties for non-performance, payment schedules, and right of termination. 10. City reserves the right to assign additional snow plowing on an “as needed” basis deemed to be in the best interest of the City. 11. When the contractor awarded the snow plowing contract fails to perform after any snow event, the City will perform the work necessary by whatever means necessary with no money paid to the contractor for that snow event. The City will withhold a sum of $500.00 per storm event from any monies due the contractor from prior work performed.
