Specifications include, but are not limited to: Northwest Educational Services is seeking sealed bids for a research-based literacy intervention for students from pre-K through eight grade that is systematic, cumulative, explicit, diagnostic, sequential, and multisensory. Program Details: This literacy intervention program should include evidence-based best practices to improve outcomes for students that are deficient in literacy skills. The program should include the following components: The Big 5 essential components of reading in each lesson plan; Intervention instruction that is based on skill or stage rather than student age or group; Placement tests; Flexibility to teach one-one or small group and flexibility to teach the intervention lesson in person or via virtual delivery; and Online instructional materials access. Curriculum Components: The research-based intervention should include: student placement tests and assessments to measure student progress, teacher guide and explicit lesson plans, online teacher access to instructional materials, student materials including workbooks, letter tactile card decks, sound deck cards, sight word deck cards, blend card decks, alphabet strips for upper and lower case, prefix, suffix and root card decks.
