Park Specification for Snow Fence removal: Snow fence must be removed in a manner that will minimize damage to the fence and posts to preserve it for future use. All fence material is to be rolled in tight rolls not to exceed 50 feet in length. Fence posts must be removed in such a manner to prevent bending and distorting. All materials used to attach fence to posts and fence to fence are to be removed from the beach by the contractor. Fence and posts are to be stacked in a central location or on a trailer provided by the park in the proximity of the job site as designated by the Park Supervisor or his representative. Park Specifications for Sand Removal: Remove all sand accumulations from between the parking lots, from paved roadways, from paved parking lots, from around the beach building and sidewalks, from the east shoulder of the park road, and from both sides of the park road north and south of the parking lot a distance to be established by the Park Supervisor. The shoulders of the park road and the north and south ends of the parking lots are to be cleared a minimum of 12 feet but not more than 15 feet from the paved edge on a level grade even with the road surface. Sand areas located between concrete surfaces or roads and parking lots must be excavated and finished to a grade no higher than the surrounding paved surfaces. Sand must be removed from around all steps and sidewalks associated with the beach house. Final grades in the proximity of the bathhouse are to be determined by the Park Supervisor or his representative and are to be semi-finish grade. All sand that has been removed shall be deposited and rough graded on the beach or low areas in the parking lot medians or the building. Grading on the beach is to be a gradual slope from the parking lot edge to the water’s edge of Lake Michigan as determined by the Park Supervisor or his representative. A grade of 5% or less, 12’ width by 250’ length, shall be rough graded on the west side of the beach building for installation of an ADA decking down to the beach.
