Specifications include, but are not limited to: The sand mixture shall meet the following specifications: A homogenous mixture of 2NS modified sand: 100% passing 3/8”, 90-100% passing #4, 65-100% passing #8, 20-55% passing #30, 0-5% loss of washing. RCKC may request the successful bidder, at their cost, provide recent test results showing the proposed material will meet the required gradations. The gradation test must be done by a qualified soils testing facility. Material not meeting RCKC specification will be rejected at no expense to RCKC. Material is to be delivered FOB Destination, Freight Prepaid, to RCKC grounds at 3801 East Kilgore Road, Kalamazoo, MI. Delivery is expected within 24 hours of RCKC request Monday through Friday. RCKC may require delivery in adverse weather conditions. This mixture shall be stockpiled and furnished as needed. The contractor shall provide all labor and equipment necessary for the excavation, loading, grinding/screening, trucking, and stockpiling of the sand.
