2.1 Pre-Assessment Planning ● Conduct a project kick-off meeting with Dansville Schools representatives to align goals, expectations, timelines, and communication protocols. ● Review all available existing documentation including: o As-built drawings o Previous assessment reports o Maintenance records o Capital improvement plans ● Develop and submit a detailed assessment schedule and methodology for approval prior to initiating on-site work. 2.2 On-Site Facility Assessment ● Perform comprehensive visual inspections of all buildings and site elements. ● Assess and document the condition and functionality of the following components: o Structural Systems: Foundations, framing, load-bearing elements o Building Envelope: Exterior walls, windows, doors, roofing systems o Mechanical Systems: HVAC equipment, controls, and energy management systems o Electrical Systems: Power distribution, lighting, emergency power o Plumbing Systems: Potable water, sanitary sewer, stormwater management o Fire Protection Systems: Sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers o Vertical Transportation: Elevators and lifts o Interior Finishes and Fixtures o Site Elements: Parking areas, sidewalks, landscaping, and site utilities ● Evaluate compliance with: o Current building and life safety codes o Accessibility standards (ADA) o Safety regulations (e.g., emergency lighting, surveillance) ● Evaluate energy efficiency and sustainability opportunities. ● Document findings with digital photographs and detailed field notes. ● Conduct interviews with school administrators and maintenance staff to capture historical context and known concerns.
