The contractor shall perform landscaping and ground maintenance on the ten (10) acre repository as shown on Attachment #1. a. The contractor shall provide repository mowing, erosion repair and or vegetation control services on an annual basis between September 1st and November 30th. b. The contractor shall meet with the Department at a mutually agreeable date and time at the beginning of the fall season to assess and inspect the repository to determine if erosion repair and/or vegetation control is required at the site. c. After completion of the annual repository site assessment and the Department’s written approval, the contractor shall begin providing the required services. d. The contractor shall be restricted to daylight hours only when the ground is dry enough to minimize rutting for mowing. Excessive damage to fields or roads, defined primarily as ruts over three (3) inches deep, must be repaired by the contractor. The contractor and state agency or designee shall coordinate use of designated trails and gates for access. e. Mowing shall be always conducted by the contractor at a safe distance from all members of the public. It shall be acceptable for the contractor to ask a member of the public to move to a safe distance to finish mowing an area. In the event that the person or persons will not move, and has not moved, by the end of mowing the parking lot; it shall be acceptable for the contractor to leave that area un-mowed until the next regularly scheduled mowing.
