7.7.3 Provide labor and material to install 1 backstop (Field #6): Remove existing backstops and player bench fencing along first and third base, including all piers. Remove and replace all asphalt as required due to the removal of the piers, posts and fencing. Replace with block wall/net system and chain link fence extensions on first and third base sides. Install four backstop poles - 6-5/8” diameter, .365 thick galvanized, 24’ above ground with 30” x 6’ reinforced concrete piers. Install two sections of net, 15’ wide x 20’ tall. Install one section of net, 20’ wide x 20’ tall. Net shall be #36, same type as is currently on BMAC field #2. Attach to backstop poles with SS eye hooks, 3/8” SS cable and turnbuckle. Install 15x20x15’ wide sectioned backstop wall, 3’ tall above ground with a 4” cap, made up of 8” concrete blocks with rebar at 32” centers. Wall shall be 30” below ground with reinforced footing. All cells shall be filled with concrete. Install two, 60’ of 8” tall x 8” wide above ground concrete walls with 30” reinforced frost wall to go along with the player bench fences (listed below). Install new poles and galvanized chain link fencing according to the following standards/dimensions: o Two, 60’ player bench fences, 7’ tall with top and bottom rail to be installed on top of the 8” concrete wall. o Each player bench fence shall include a 7’ tall x 20’ long rear dugout fence with 7’ wide top fencing to provide cover. Ends will remain open as they are currently. o Terminal posts shall be 3” outside diameter, line posts shall be 2, 3/8” outside diameter, top and bottom rail shall be 1, 5/8” outside diameter. o Fencing galvanized; fabric 9GA x 2” mesh.
