Specifications include, but are not limited to: i. A single CPU desktop configuration is designated to manage the system. This system shall function from a CPU unit positioned at the instructor station/desk for convenient access. ii. Three (3) HD Screens shall be mounted in the training room, in such way so trainee’s movement are not shadowed onto the screen. Each individual screen must measure at least ten (10) feet in width and six (6) feet in height. When assembled together, the seams shall be as inconspicuous as feasible. iii. The simulator must function under varying light conditions, including rooms with overhead lights switched on. iv. The “Hit Detection” calibration process must be automated to allow the screens to be easily moved. v. The two outside screens shall be easily moveable to allow several officers to practice marksmanship on a “line of fire” as if at a range. The screens shall form a flat wall without the need for manual recalibration. vi. Speakers/Digital Audio Sound System/ 5.1-surround sound vii. All Power and Video Cables, Power Strips, and Mounted Hardware (Computer components and cables must be 100% commercially available off the shelf) viii. The system software must have a minimum of 750 multi-branching scenarios preloaded. The contractor shall update the scenario library on an annual basis at no extra cost. ix. The multi-branching software scenarios shall include scenarios and content specifically designed around deescalation, school safety, implicit bias, crisis intervention, duty to intervene and response to resistance. x. The instructor shall have the capability to modify the lighting level during the scenario, transitioning from full brightness to low light or complete darkness as needed. xi. The contractor shall include software for filming and editing to allow the creation of custom branching scenarios. Formal classroom-based instruction on how to produce this personalized content shall also be included. xii. The system shall include software enabling the practice and development of marksmanship by facilitating the creation, addition, and editing of custom courses of fire. xiii. The system must include Four (4) MASTER Instructor Trainings at the Columbia Police Department. xiv. All other devices needed to provide fully functioning turn key training simulator. xv. Delivery: 90 days from purchase order xvi. Contractor shall include all setup and delivery xvii. Initial Full Coverage Warranty on all components and parts must be included for Two (2) years xviii. Warranty must include 24-hour phone service xix. Warranty must include a loaner system if/when repairs are needed xx. Warranty must include Online remote Maintenance xxi. Warranty must include Unlimited credits to Instructor Course xxii. Warranty must include Free Software Updates. xxiii. Contractor shall provide lifetime subscription to phone support.
