Demo all material infilling one window, including but not limited to, limestone slabs, CMU, brick, drywall, electrical, conduit, and furring material. Electrical conduit currently within the infilled window should be relocated in the wall. Demo ceiling and grid nearest new opening to accept new window and added bulkhead. Add bulkhead only at new window. Bulkhead should be constructed with fire retardant wood. Bulkhead finish shall be drywall, taped and finished to a level 4. Wall shall be painted with one coat of primer and two coats of paint. The finish should replicate the window to the right of the 1st floor ADA double doors. Ceiling and grid should be repaired and/or replaced to replicate window to the right of the 1st floor ADA double doors. New windows to be Rectangle DH Head Detail, Marvin Signature Ultimate Single Hung Ridgeland Casing A1446 with a A1453 Subsill or equivalent. Windows to have metal clad exterior finish and a wood interior finish matching Marvin Mahogany Hazelnut. Colors/stain to be determined by Project Manager upon receipt of submittal. Wood buck or equivalent should be added to allow flange nailing to ensure window is properly secured at wall. Windows should be installed per manufacturers guidelines with all means and methods included. Building interior finish shall replicate existing walls and surrounding casing detail. This includes adding a quarter sawn white oak wood stool, apron, side casing, and wall casing. Stain color should match the ADA entry door and sidelights nearest the window on the East side of the building. See Exhibit B. Drywall returns shall be included if needed for securing casing detail. All drywall work shall be taped, finished to level 4, and painted to match wall color. (1 coat of primer, 2 coats of paint) Interior paint color shall match existing interior color. Color code provided by the County. The building exterior stonework should not be disturbed. Metal clad window casing on new windows should set flush against top, bottom, and sides of existing exterior stone or framing, matching the other existing windows.
