Specifications include, but are not limited to: Saint Charles County Government (the County) is seeking Proposals from qualified insurance companies to provide Life insurance coverage for all permanent full-time employees (60% or greater) and Elected Officials. Plans must be underwritten through carriers having a minimum A. M. Best rating of A+. The cost of basic (as described below) life insurance is paid for by the County. Additional supplemental and dependent life coverage is available on a voluntary basis with the entire cost being paid for by the employee through payroll deduction. Coverage, under both programs, becomes effective on the first day of active employment. All necessary demographic information including a census, three years of loss experience, the policy and dependent rates are included as exhibits at the back of this document.
