2.1.1 The contractor shall provide international travel trade in-country representation for the Department of Economic Development, Missouri Division of Tourism (hereinafter referred to as the state agency) in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein and to the sole satisfaction of the state agency. 2.1.2 Contractor’s Obligation: Unless otherwise specified herein, the contractor shall furnish all material, labor, facilities, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide the product and perform the services required herein. 2.2 Minimum Experience Requirements: 2.2.1 The contractor must meet or exceed the following minimum experience requirements at the time of proposal submission and for the duration of the contract: a. The contractor must be qualified through experience and training in travel and tourism marketing. The contractor must have at least five years of experience with core competencies in the following areas: 1) Travel trade marketing and sales; 2) Consumer marketing, including co-op marketing, and sales; 3) Consumer and trade shows; and 4) Public relations/media relations including, but not limited to, journalists and media. b. The contractor must have at least five years of experience as an in-market specialist for destination marketing organizations. c. The contractor must have a thorough knowledge of origin market trends, consumer interests, booking windows, the tourism industry, and basic knowledge of Missouri tourism. d. The contractor must have experience organizing and facilitating sales missions. e. The contractor must be a member of the Visit USA organization or join upon award of the contract.
